Our mission statement; Giving our pupils faith in their future
We are North Cerney Church of England School, a small village school that sits in the heart of the community.
We see our size as our strength and value standards and achievements. The small cohorts and committed staff mean we can provide a challenging and supportive environment where each child can progress at their own pace and achieve their full potential, ‘giving our pupils faith in their future.’
The broad and rich curriculum that we offer is delivered through the International Primary Curriculum, designed with creativity and innovation to engage and excite all age groups.
By using a range of traditional and current learning methods, incorporating ICT into the wider curriculum, we strive for our children to enjoy the learning process, develop self-esteem and achieve their own successes.
We are extremely proud of all that goes on here and every one of the individual achievements. The children are supported in all that they do by dedicated staff, governors, parents and members of the village community. This interaction encourages them to understand and enjoy the environment and the community in which they live and learn.
The International Primary Curriculum encourages our pupils to develop global links and learning opportunities enabling them to learn about the wider global community and take part and enjoy wider cultural experiences.
This ethos is extended into lunchtime. With our hot lunches being freshly prepared by Rendcomb College we have made this time a more communal and meaningful experience for everyone with themed lunches (such as Chinese food to celebrate Chinese New Year) taking place throughout the year. Children sit down together, with members of staff and say grace before being served fresh, healthy meals. This dining experience is also been shared with both members of the local community and parents.
